A leading Automotive Tier 1 supplier is now recruiting for a Launch Materials Manager, with Material Planning management experience, initially for their JIT Operations plant in the Midlands.
The Materials Manager will report to the Launch Manager and will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team. Main responsibilities include ensuring that all parts and material targets and KPIs are met (time, quality and financial). From gathering information through to inputting it all on the system to delivering information to the Engineers.
Ideally degree educated or equivalent, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in the automotive manufacturing sector within operations, quality (APQP, PPAP) and a Lean ‘best in class’ manufacturing environment. Material Planning management experience, involving at least one launch and a proven track record in managing a team successfully, is essential.
