Introduction
Our client, located in Bury St Edmunds, is a leading manufacturer of unique items for various high profile industries. They immediately require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned repairs, overhauls and improvements on a diverse range and size of cam operated manufacturing equipment containing intricate mechanisms.
You will work within a small maintenance team on a day shift; 0800 - 1700 hrs Monday to Friday, however you should be flexible as you may be required to cover other hours when colleagues are on holiday etc.
The successful candidate will come from a firm mechanical engineering background familiar with plc controlled manufacturing equipment and pneumatics.
Applicant Requirements:
Applicant requirements include the following:
- Suitable mechanical engineering qualification.
- PLC controlled pneumatics.
- Knowledge gained working on intricate mechanisms containing many moving parts; cross over cams, linkages, leavers, gears, tooling.
- Logical mechanical fault finder.
- CAM profiling.
- Working knowledge in the diagnosis of and correction of mechanical and pneumatic faults on complex production equipment.
- Flexible towards working hours.
