This is great management opportunity for someone who is seeking to develop their career. You will have a sound background in care, be self-motivated and have an innovative approach to service planning and delivery. You will be able to balance business demands, with commitment to quality standards.
An NVQ Level 3 in Care or management is essential, along with supervisory experience.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
• To take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of the Care At Home base.
• To manage the staff team effectively and ensure staff are well supported and motivated in their day-to-day activities.
• To ensure that all referrals/Initial Response are co-ordinated and resulting communications with purchasers and other relevant professionals are managed effectively to meet the needs of the clients.
• To ensure that company policies and procedures are implemented, audited and reviewed to keep abreast of service developments.
• To ensure that statutory and regulatory requirements are met and that relevant business plan targets are met.
• To ensure that the base delivers an excellent standard of customer service to both clients and purchasers.
• To undergo professional development activities in line with the requirements of the role.

Key Tasks
• Directs, supervises and supports staff, (Community Team Supervisors, Planners, Administrators and Carers), working within the community environment.
• Actively seeks opportunities to promote and develop the Company and its services to maximise income growth.
• Ensures that all requirements of the service specification are met.
• Carries out regular audits of staff competency in line with current policies and procedures.
• Ensure that senior staff have monthly supervisions and the relevant training and development opportunities to support them in their role.
• To ensure that staff have appraisals at the required frequency and performance management is based upon achievement of business plan targets.
• To ensure that all monies collected in respect of services are done so in accordance with the Company’s financial procedures.
• To lead recruitment initiatives and be involved in appropriate induction and mentoring of new staff.
• To ensure customer and staff satisfaction is maintained at a high level.
• To ensure appropriate communication systems are in place to ensure that both senior managers and staff are kept fully aware of all relevant issues.
• Observes and enforces all Health and Safety regulations
• Undertakes any other duties as required by the Area Manager.
• You will maintain a professional and hygienic appearance.
• You will work in line with the policy on Infection Prevention and Control, according to your role.

Management
• Provision of an adequate on-call service to cover urgent needs of clients and purchasers.
• To ensure that IT systems are utilised to full effect within the base.
• To ensure that staff are deployed in the most cost effective way whilst being able to fully meet the needs of the client.
