Are you a Manufacturing Engineer, with a mechanical biased Automotive or Aerospace background? Would you like to work within a very stable, ever expanding blue chip engineering organisation? If so, and you are looking for genuine job security, significant recognition and long term career prospects, this may be the role for you.
The role
Reporting to the Product Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing support on: New Product Introduction, Liaison with Technical Engineering, Customer visits, Supplier visits and development, Lean Manufacturing / Continuous improvement and Cost Reduction, and New contracts.
To fulfil these job requirements the ideal candidate must have the following skills/experience:
• Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline/minimum of a HNC/HND or the equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Project management and New Product Introduction knowledge, with experience of prototype manufacturing from CAD.
• Purchasing, Tooling, Press-tooling and Process Improvements with a metal working background and experience of tool design.
• Proven history of driving lean manufacturing / continuous improvement activities in a technical engineering environment.
• Strong character, able to be the focal point of continuous improvement for new innovative technology
• Excellent communication skills
