Job Title: Lead Engineer
Location: Hampshire
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Are you a high calibre, technically minded Lead Engineer, with a strong background in complex design? Do you have proven experience of leading a design department from development to certification? Interested in worldwide travel?
A 1st tier Aerospace supplier, require a Lead Engineer with full product life-cycle experience to lead their teams in new innovative product development.
The role
You will be responsible for the entire ownership of the design of the product, fulfilling customer requirements in line with business expectations.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Ideally from an Aerospace, Automotive or complex engineering background, you will have experience of performing the full design responsibility for complicated engineering parts, involving the testing, validation of parts through to certification.
• An understanding of stress analysis is essential, as is an electromechanical / mechanical engineering background.
• Manage customer and supplier expectations.
• Aerospace engineering knowledge would be ideal, however, experience within other technical engineering disciplines will also be considered.
• Degree, HNC, Apprenticeship or equivalent experience is also required.
• Experience of effectively liasing cross-functionally and with customers and suppliers is also essential.
• You must be a strong character and have excellent communication skills.
