Introduction:
Our client is a leading company involved in undertaking a range of repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of Royal Navy ships.
Our client now has an immediate requirement for a Welder. You will have served and successfully completed a recognised Welding Apprenticeship and have gained working knowledge of both Manual Metal Arc (MMA) and Metal Arc Gas Shielded (MAGS) Welding Processes using Solid and Flux Cored Wires.
You will have also have welded to Radiographic standards for both processes, Welding Ferrous and Non Ferrous Materials. You will also be expected to undertake further training should the need arise for business benefits.
You must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate good time keeping.
This work is physically demanding and you will need to be a team player to ensure project deadlines are met.
The basic salary is £20,996 with overtime premiums paid after 37 hours, as well as an uplift on shift work, you must be flexible with your working hours. Benefits include overtime, sick pay and a pension scheme.
