| Job Title: Security Manager |
| Description |
• To provide a reliable and cost efficient Security and Car Park service to Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust.
• To maintain standards of discipline and welfare amongst all Contracted staff in accordance with the Company’s disciplinary practice and welfare programme.
• To ensure that University Hospital Lewisham has an up to date comprehensive set of Assignment Instructions that accurately reflect the duties carried out by the Company and that the Assignment Instructions have been read and signed by all staff.
• To attend Weekly/Monthly Contract Review Meetings with Trust Management
• Maintain contact with designated Trust Management and ensure that all formal meetings are minuted. To ensure actions taken and reported back on all items discussed.
• To report to the designated Trust Management any event that may be detrimental to the fulfilment of the provision of service. • To ensure that the Contractual Manning Levels are maintained.
• To ensure that the guidelines for the Recruitment of new staff are carried out.
• To ensure that the appropriate Training is carried out and documented within the Training Matrix as per the Contractual requirements. Also ensuring that the training completed is recorded on the individual’s training record sheet.
• To ensure that the Contractual requirements for SIA Licencing and categories of Licence is maintained
• To ensure that all staff are familiar with and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures. • To prepare and submit in advance, rota schedules for the Security Staff.
• In the event of an incident occurring that results in injury to a member of the Security Staff, damage or theft on site; or the necessity to call the Emergency Services, the Security Manager is expected to attend the incident and take any immediate remedial action necessary and to ensure that all the relevant details have been recorded on an Incident Report and that the Incident Report and any Statement are submitted to the Authorised Trust Manager for his/her attention and that all the relevant Departments are notified of the incident.
• To ensure that all Incidents are investigated promptly and reports submitted to the Authorised Trust Manager without delay.
• To ensure that the necessary Internal and External Patrols are being made and that all records are correct. • To ensure that the welfare needs of the Security staff are addressed, in particular; pay queries, holiday applications and applications to vary duties.
• To ensure that all CCTV Equipment, Communications Equipment etc is in good working order and report and log all faults.
• To investigate incidents via CCTV and review/save CCTV footage for Trust Management and/or Police.
• To ensure that the Access Control equipment (PC, Software & Card Printer) is functioning correctly and that there is adequate stock of Blank Cards, Card Holders,Lanyards Ribbons etc. To report and log all faults immediately.
• To ensure all Car Park Pay and Display Machines are functioning and that there is sufficient ticket stock.
• To Ensure the Car Park Pay and Display Machines are emptied daily Mondays to Fridays, the coin boxes deposited at General Office or A&E Safe outside working hours.
• To ensure that the Trust’s Car Parking Policies are managed and enforced.
• To manage the issue of Car Parking Permits to members of Hospital Staff who have been allocated parking spaces within and outside the Hospital.
• To authorise the fixing of Wheel Clamps to offending vehicles and deal with any queries on Car Parking from Staff or the Public.
• To manage the collection of Wheel Clamping fines and payments to General Office during normal working hours or deposit in A&E Safe outside working hours. |
