| Job Title: Security Supervisor |
| Description |
- Responsible for the day to day shift management of the security personnel on site.
- Provide regular liaison with Hospital Clinical Site Managers and ward staff.
- Ensure that on site training programmes are conducted documented and assessed to include the appraisal of security personnel.
- In conjuction with the Security Manager to ensure that all new starters have been correctly issued with items of uniform and equipment and that the necessary training and documentation has been completed prior to them commencing duty.
- Examination of submission of and action relating to all incident reports written reports and documentation produced by security staff.
- Managing the planning, co-ordination allocation and supervision of all security personnel. Providing instruction and training to visitors, contractors and other staff as appropriate.
- Carry out investigations, under the direction of the Security Manager. Ensure the regular testing of all equipment as required.
- Responsibility for minor welfare matters and for ensuring that Security Staff comply with Health and Safety legislation currently in force.
- Maintenance of updated assignment instructions. Ensure the daily occurrence bookis maintained correctly and that all relevant detaisl have been recorded on an incident report.
- Be responsible for all disciplinary matters within the framework laid down.
- To attend meetings with the Security Manager and Trust Management as directed.
- Assist in the evacuation of buildings in the event of an emergency.
- Responding to telephone bomb threats and suspicious objects.
- Supervise the operation of the Access Control System and CCTV equipment.
- Review CCTV footage and storage of evidence for investigation purposes.
- Effective liaison with Emergency Services, Police, Fire Brigade and Catford Control Centre. Respond effectively, efficiently and promptly to emergencies and incidents including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms and Personal Attack alarms.
- Supervise Security Search levels for missing patients.
- Act as Security's first point of contact out of office hours. Supervise the enforcement of the Trust's Car Park Regulations.
- Authorise Wheel Clamping as and when deemed necessary and supervise payment of fines.
- Responsible for the daily emptying of Car Park Pay & Display Ticket Machines and the coin box deposits.
- To strive to improve the performance of the individuals and site systems to the benefit of all parties.
