Introduction:
Our client is a leading specialist mechanical and electrical engineering and facilities services company, with more than 100 years of experience. They provide a total life cycle of care for a facility, including the design, build and installation of mechanical and electrical systems, then the ongoing maintenance of these services and the provision of integrated facilities management.
An opportunity has arisen to join our client within their Transportation Services Division as a Facilities Services Manager on a prestigious contract for a global blue chip company.
The role includes managing three sites at Heathrow, with a team of approximately 11 members of staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage excellent working relationships with both the building users and the landlord in your area of responsibility including regular and ad-hoc meetings.
- Provide support to and cover for the Facilities Manager. This will include aspects of man-management.
- Service delivery in line with agreed SLAs / KPIs and maintenance of the buildings assets to the client's satisfaction.
- Monitor and address issues with energy usage for your given area.
- Manage within the allocated unplanned operational budget for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Project manage minor ad-hoc works and ensure record information is updated.
- Assist in budget forecasting for short, medium and long-term business plans in your area of responsibility.
- Adherence to Corporate Policies and Procedures.
- Contribute to a compliant working environment in accordance with Company and client safe systems of work.
- Identify and resolve or escalate operational risks and be available in the event of escalation of an incident.
- Support strong partnership values and ensure smooth running of contracts.
- Deliver continuous improvement by employing best practice and innovative solutions.
- Monitor the Asset care programme ensuring it's aligned to the customers property strategy, whilst maintaining the principles of the Asset Management policy.
Candidate Requirements:
- Background in FM in a similar environment.
- 1-3 years experience in both hard and soft services.
- Qualified to MBIFM or equivalent desirable.
- Proven leadership qualities.
- A good working knowledge of IT Microsoft applications ie Word, Excel, Powerpoint including CMMS.
- Good communication skills and customer service ethos.
- Presentation and report writing skills.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- You will need the ability to plan and prioritise
- A strategic approach is required to support life cycle costing and asset protection programmes
- The candidate should have a valid current driving licence
- The post holder may be required to travel to other client sites
- Flexibility may be required within your working hours to accommodate the operation.
